At All That Dance our Competition Teams are for those who want to take their dance training to the next level. All That Dance offers competition team classes for ages 8yr+. These classes are offered to students who have shown the appropriate level of commitment and work ethic in previous classes.

Team members learn a selection of competitive dances, perform in different styles and are exposed to other inspirational performers at competitions throughout the year.

New students to the team are invited to the class at the beginning of the year, students previously invited to the team are welcome to re-enrol each year. If you are moving up an age group you will be sent an invitation to do so at the start of the year also. To be eligible, competition teams have specific eligibility requirements in regards to the amount of classes and styles that students must do.

To be eligible for our competition teams we ask that students enrol in a minimum of TWO dance classes as well as their weekly Competition Class.

This is to ensure the level of technique and performance training needed is maintained throughout the year.

Our Competition Teams are a team sport and as such it is very important that all team members are committed equally. Competition Team students are required to meet all class requirements and uphold the values of being a Competition Team student at our studio.

We understand that things happen in life, however we expect our Competition Team students to not miss their classes lightly and only when very unwell. If you are planning a holiday that falls on one of the performances or eisteddfods please let us know at the beginning of the year so their teacher can make appropriate adjustments if/where required.

Additional Eisteddfod related fees are outlined below:

Costumes Competition Team Costumes - Students may require new costumes for the routines they are learning. Where possible we try to reuse second hand costumes to keep to prices lower. However there may be instances where, due to sizing and numbers, new costumes need to be purchased. Payment for competition costumes will be included in your Term 2 Invoice.

Performance & Eisteddfod Fees - Some competitions have additional fees to compete. These fees are confirmed around the time of competition and advice will be provided to parents in regards to what the costs are and how payment needs to be made.
